ABOUT ME
Eleanor is a textile graduate from the University of Huddersfield specialising in woven design.
Completing a unique BSc degree in textile design, allows Eleanor to have both sound technical and creative knowledge of the industry. She has built upon the varying skill set that would be needed in either a design led or a fabric technologist role through her degree.

With a designer maker context, she is able to think about design, as well as the challenges of production and manufacturing her ideas to complete an end product. "I would consider ideas and concepts first then figure out how I would design and produce an end product, either for mass production or sold as a one off within a niche market. My industry experience with Tetrad and Margo Selby has helped me understand the role everyone plays within the textile industry and I like to think of all aspects when designing, seeing it through to the end."

Inspired by trends, architecture, and creating solutions for particular environments, Eleanor focuses on designing and creating a product that would be useful for the customer.

Throughout her final year at university, Eleanor became interested in architextiles and how the woven fabrics could benefit an interior environment in the home or workspace. "I strongly believe we should be creating for a reason and try and come to a conclusion that is useful to the consumer as well as looking good."
