STUDIO SAMIRA BOON

Textile Architecture

Studio Samira Boon creates innovative textile structures inspired by Japanese folding techniques. They collaborated with Prof. T Tachi from the university of Tokyo to translate origami into digital weaving techniques.

These structures illustrate Samira Boon's vision on healthy environments with flexible, dynamic spaces. The textiles can adapt to the ever changing need for a space.

I am intrigued about using weaves in the form of architextiles to create a better space for somebody.
