Oxfam x Huddersfield University - Designer Maker Project [Jan-March 2018] 3/3

Future Developments

To further develop the concept, I thought about how the products would be made (especially because they would be sold online). Similarly to The Big Innocent Knit, I wondered how amazing it would be if we could send packs to people who volunteered to make them with some instructions, then they could send them back to us in order to sell online. This gets a real sense of community helping one another.

As well as this, I thought about how the products could be sold in festivals. Considering we had to focus on either festivals or online shop, I thought it was nice to think about how it could be incorporated into the different festivals Oxfam go to and the things they sell to festival goers. Thinking about the customer, I still wanted to attract students and younger people to charity in general and how it isn’t just old and forgotten and can actually be quite funky. So I came up with more ideas about how we could work together and upcycle the clothes into unique and individual purses and bum bags for festivals.
